The Community Services Department strives to offer a wide array of events and programs for the community to participate in.  

Truth and Reconciliation Community Events

National Seniors' Day - Free Draw

Seniors, drop by the Community Services Office to enter your name in a draw in recognition of National Seniors' Day (October 1).  Draw entries are accepted until noon on Tuesday, October 11.

Recreational Skating Programs

Two sessions of six lessons each will be offered this fall.  Registration opens Thursday, September 8 at the Meet the Community Night at Ochre Park School (see poster above), then continues afterward at the Community Services Office.  Click here for the registration form.  Click here for the credit card authorization form.  Please note the registration deadline for Session 1 is September 27 and the deadline for Session 2 is November 8.

Sturgeon County Seniors' One-Day Conference for Ages 55+

Your $10 registration includes breakfast, lunch, trade fair, entertainment, and workshops.  Registered bus service from Redwater is available through your registration process.  Topics include mental health, green sleeves, dementia, Alberta travel destinations and more.  Click here for registration link through Sturgeon County (you will need to create a login account with Sturgeon County).  If you have trouble with online registration, phone 780-939-8334.

The Town of Redwater is pleased to have programming offered by Families First Society and Sturgeon Region Family Resource Network.

Youth Subsidy 

There is a Youth Subsidy Program available to Redwater residents to support families with children who may not otherwise have access to recreational, cultural and social program opportunities due to financial barriers or extraordinary living situations.
