The Community Services Department strives to offer a wide array of events and programs for the community to participate in.  

Drop-In Pickleball

Join the pickleball craze at Pembina Place!  We have one more FREE Try It date on Monday, January 30 from 5:00-8:00pm.  Then, you can either buy a pass or pay per drop-in for this user-guided program February 1 to March 29.   Please note that this session is offered at a SPECIAL INTRODUCTORY PRICE.  Click here for the registration form or the credit card authorization form if you'd like to email your registration to  You may also come to the Community Services Office (2nd floor, Pembina Place) to register in person.

Chair Fitness Class

Our pilot project in November/December for this class was a hit!  Register now for the 8-week session beginning January 30. Click here for the registration form or for the credit card authorization form.  Please note that additional physical activity and consent forms are required and can be picked up from the Community Services Office. 

Family Day of Fun

Come one, come all to this FREE event for the entire community!  Gather up your friends and family for a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.  

Recreational Skating Programs for Kids

Community Connections

Whether you already love knitting and crocheting or whether you would like to learn alongside other lovers of the craft, drop in for some crafty camaraderie!  You can either pre-register and pre-pay at the Community Services Office during regular office hours or drop in with your cash payment on Mondays.  

We have some basic supplies on hand to experiment with if you are new to this art form and have no idea what you need to get started.  Otherwise, you are encouraged to bring your own supplies/projects to work on and be a part of this great community-led initiative.

For those 16 and up, plan a date with free skating sponsored by the Town of Redwater.

Families First Society Programming

The Town of Redwater is pleased to have programming offered by Families First Society and Sturgeon Region Family Resource Network.  Attend the Silly Sprouts Play in Redwater, or travel to a nearby municipality for extra programming options available. 

Sturgeon Adult Learning Programming

Redwater and area residents have access to a variety of literacy programs through Sturgeon Adult Learning.  Go to for the full programming available (e.g. learn English, computer literacy, etc).  The following are some programs offered in Redwater:

Youth Subsidy 

There is a Youth Subsidy Program available to Redwater residents to support families with children who may not otherwise have access to recreational, cultural and social program opportunities due to financial barriers or extraordinary living situations.
