Nomination Day for the office of Councillor will be held on October 1, 2018 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Town Office (4924 47 St). Please click here to view the Candidate Information Package or click here to view the Nomination Day public notice.

A Municipal By-Election will be held on October 29th, 2018 from 10:00am-8:00pm only if more than one candidate files nomination papers on October 1, 2018. If only one candidate files nomination papers then they will be acclaimed, and no by-election will proceed.

A public hearing will be held on October 2, 2018 in Council Chambers (4924 47 St) at 6:30 pm to hear input on proposed Bylaw 858 Amendment to Land Use Bylaw 811. The purpose of the amendment bylaw is:

To incorporate new regulations for cannabis & hemp production & distribution facilities as well as cannabis retail establishments, amend the Land Use District map to include a new industrial zone to provide for cannabis & hemp productions & distribution facilities east of 44th street and update administration processes related to approvals, within Land Use Bylaw 811.
